๐— ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ฎ ๐—–๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ธ๐—ผ๐˜ƒรก is a visual artist, art-based environmental educator, nomadic gardener, host, friend, and forager who keeps an eye on atmospheric events. Motivated by processes of sharing and learning, she moves between collaborative and interdisciplinary projects that involve long-term observations, care, hospitality, and the art of companionship. Sometimes she cooks soup, sometimes takes you for a walk with a basket, sometimes invites you to take part in the artistic process โ€” which may become a workshop, or simply a little conversation.

Her Small Talks project is based on fascination, conversations, and everydayness. Through observing and monitoring weather phenomena, Michaela redefines weather from a scientific probability calculation based on accurate data to an exhibition of visual and sensory metaphors that trace time and tell the stories we are living โ€” our social weather.

As a member of Mustarinda Association in Finland, she focuses on socio-ecological transformation through connecting contemporary art with multidisciplinary research, alongside residency, educational, and publishing activities. Since 2019, she has worked with the University of Jyvรคskylรคโ€™s Evolution in Action team, co-developing teaching materials that convey evolutionary processes and phenomena. In 2023, she collaborated on the Childrenโ€™s Forest Pavilion representing Lithuania at the Venice Architecture Biennale. Michaela works between Kainuu and Helsinki, Finland, and Brno, Czech Republic.
